Minor Surgery
Our providers offer a range of minor surgical procedures in-office. These treatments are performed with attention to both comfort and outcome, with follow-up care provided here at Unifour Family Practice.
Ingrown Toenails
We can remove the portion of the nail that is ingrown while preserving the rest of the nail. This allows for faster recovery and helps reduce the chance of recurrence.
Skin Biopsies
We use several biopsy techniques depending on the site and size of the lesion. All samples are sent to a local pathology lab for analysis. If skin cancer is identified, ensuring adequate margins is essential for complete removal. In some cases, a second procedure may be needed if cancer cells are found at the biopsy edge.
Cryotherapy
Cryotherapy is a quick, in-office treatment that uses extreme cold to remove abnormal or unwanted tissue. It is commonly used to treat warts and precancerous skin lesions such as actinic keratoses. Our providers apply the treatment directly to the area, destroying the targeted cells while allowing healthy skin to heal.
Skin Tag Removal
Skin tags often develop in the groin, underarm, or around the neck. They can snag on clothing or jewelry and cause discomfort. Our providers remove them quickly and with minimal discomfort.
Laceration Repair
Our team is skilled in repairing cuts and lacerations. Each wound is carefully inspected for deeper injury or contamination, then closed using appropriate suture techniques to achieve both cosmetic and functional results. A tetanus booster is given if needed.
